HW: Evening of Wed. 10.21
Dear Third Graders,
We are having a fantastic week this week! Our class dynamic has improved in splendid ways. No homework tonight! Instead, I want you to study your spelling words. Practice with your parents. I am reading your numerous exit slips and loving every word! Also, please join me in welcoming our new student, Egor! He already has one class dojo point! w00t!
Many of you are gradually moving from C students to B students, and B students to A students. Some of you are improving quite dramatically. You are all like a neat little group of comeback kings and queens. I love it! Whoever scored below a 70 on our recent exam has to re-write the short essays and long essays for Homework. I need everybody else to prepare for tomorrow's Word Duels. You are also responsible for finishing Babe. The sooner you finish this book, the sooner we can move on to more books about talking pigs who will do whatever it takes to avoid joining Mr. Robles' Bacon Cheeseburger!
To the Fellowship of the Fifth,
We are nearing the end of our first book together. Mara, our Keeper of the Scrolls, has scouted ahead and looked at the next book we are going to read. I appreciate your patience as we powered through the latest round of tests and quizzes. Know, and be ye confident in this: there is a purpose to everything Mr. Robles asks you to do. I have the utmost confidence in your ability to prevail! That said, continue to read Esperanza through to the very end.
